‘For The Love of Money Art’ showcases the works of Currency Graffiti Artists. That is literally artists who create artworks on currency notes.

My piece for ‘For the Love of Money Art’, Deck of Cards collection is for a private buyer. An artist has personalised a US one dollar note based on a playing card.

I researched the The Eight of Hearts card which is described as evoking love and symbolises the infinite, unalterable marks left by individuals on life.

Consequently, I have represented the card on the US note, with the infinite, unalterable mark of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls across Canada and the US, (highlighted by the #MMIWG black hand paint symbol). At twelve times more likely to go missing or murdered, and less likely to be investigated than cases of white women victims, there have been calls of genocide.
