Vault Festival

‘We Had it All’ by Jelly J Artist for Vault Festival, Culture Declares Emergency and Extinction Rebellion

I was lucky to be one of the Art House Project artists taking part in The Vault Festival ‘Extinction Underground’ Paint Jam. The festival in collaboration with Culture Declares Emergency and Extinction Rebellion showcases and celebrates the incredible artistic response to the climate crisis in Theatre, Music, Art, Film, Dance, Comedy and Cabaret.

I interpreted the theme with an etherial figure distraught over what humans have done to our planet. My ‘We Had it All’ Fairy wears her Extinction Rebellion necklace whilst sitting on top of our melting planet next to The Vaults in Leake Street, Waterloo. Being half term lots of of families with young children passed through the tunnel and stopped to have discussions about our climate crisis which was wonderful. Young people are so switched on to this emergency. A fun day painting alongside Ikunaq, Apparan, Lespleen, Tropidelia and Mowka.

Big thanks to The Vaults and Marie from Culture Declares Emergency and Extinction Rebellion for having us!
