I was humbled to be asked to be part of this epic exhibition curated by Art Under the Hood and The Waluso Gallery. ‘It’s a Stick Up’ saw 40 artists customising a model truck each. I was so excited to take part as it was such a quirky piece to work on.
Proceeds of sales from the trucks go to mental health charity BodyWise. My truck promotes mental health awareness, don’t surrender to silencing comments such as; ‘EVERYTHING WILL BE OK’. Speak out, get the support you deserve. ‘SAVE OUR NHS’ reminds us of the shocking cuts our Tory government has made to essential mental health services. And above all always remember that ‘YOU ARE WORTHY’.
There were some amazing artists to be rubbing shoulders (or trucks) with on the list including:
Otto Schade, Agheras, Schoony, Ryca, Ben Eine, John Doh, Rich Simmons, Publicfiguresistaken, Oker, Thatlazyedwin, Rugmanart, Rumple Stiltskin, Euan Roberts, Hellothemushroom Artunderthehood, Xlvii, Uberfubs, Perspicere, Rhys Marcus Brown, Subdude, Magpi, Roys People, Carl Cashman, Nick Watson, Apparan.
It’s a Stick Up runs until 5th November at the Waluso Gallery Hoxton
